At Goodwyn Building we always keep our home owners in mind. Below is a letter we recently sent out to all of our current home owners.
Dear Homeowner,
We, at Goodwyn Building, hope that this letter finds you and your family well. We, also, want to thank you for buying a new home from us and we trust that your home has proved to be all you planned for it to be.
As the building industry evolves, we are learning new ways and techniques to build homes more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Several common, but simple, items when checked periodically can reduce your power bill and ultimately save you money:
1. Change the air filter on a regular basis and try to use the pleated fabric style filters.
2. Check that your doors are properly sealed and that the weather-stripping is still working correctly.
3. Make sure that the damper on your fireplace is closed when not in use.
4. Recaulk your windows and doors where needed. ( Caulking can dry up and break loose over time, causing gaps that allow water and air to seep in.)
We have also come across a new product to help insulate attic accesses. This insulation tent is easily placed over the access and can not only help insulate this portion of the ceiling, but it can also cut down on air leaking through the gaps of the access.
We will be placing a large order of these tents and can save you money should you wish to purchase one. If so, please send us a check or money order in the amount of $44.00 which will cover taxes and shipping. As soon as we receive the tents, we will have them delivered to your home.
Should you have any further questions, or if we can be of assistance, please feel free to call us.
Again, thank you and may God Bless you and your family.
Sincerely,
Goodwyn Building Co., Inc.George Goodwyn, Jr.
